## Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

### What is a "cool spot"?

A cool spot is an indoor location — a department store, library, or neighborhood activity center, for example — that the Ministry of Environment has catalogued during heatwaves because it offers air conditioning, seating, or drinking water, giving the public a nearby place to cool down and rest during extreme heat.

### How do I know whether a cool spot has air conditioning or accessible facilities?

Each listing's "Facility information" field states whether that location offers air conditioning, restrooms, seating, drinking water, and accessible facilities, so users can choose a location that fits their needs.
